Old telephone books - Take to Sherwood's recycling areas.  There is a green trash can at Lois & Kiehl and one at Highway 107 (former Harvest Food Store).  If full, they may go into the newspaper bins.  Thank You!

Every Monday: 7 a.m.-9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m.

First Saturday of each month: 7 a.m.-noon

Recycling is the process of turning one product's useful parts into a new product; this is done to conserve on the consumption of resources, energy and avoid storing long-life trash in our landfills. For example, glass takes up to 4000 years to decompose in a landfill, yet it can be recycled indefinitely.

Don't let your household chemicals and electronics end up in our landfill and possibly pollute our ground water. Bring your household chemical and electronics items to the Regional Recycling & Waste Reduction District drop-off point at:

Computer, Copiers, Monitors, Televisions, Cell phones, Microwave ovens, DVD players, VCRs, Printers, Stereos, Radios, Fax Machines

Household Chemicals:

Used oil, Used gasoline, Used anti-freeze, Batteries (auto, household), Pesticides, Fertilizers, Flourescent Light Bulbs, Cleaning agents

This drop-off point won't accept paint, but Sherwood City Services will dipsose of any used paint you have. Do not discard liquid paint with your regular garbage pickup.
